Right to Information

Right to information means the right to information accessible under under this. Act which is held by or under control of any public authority and includes the right to:

1. Inspection of work, documents, records

2. Taking notes, extracts or certified copies ofdocuments or records

3. Taking certified samples of material

Obtaining information in the form of diskettes, floppies,tapes, video cassettes or in any other electronic mode or through printoutswhere such information is stored in a computer or in any other device.

“INFORMATION” means any material in any form, includingrecords, documents, memos e-mails, opinions, advices, press releases,circulars, orders, logbooks, contracts , reports, papers, samples, models, datamaterial held in any electronic form and information relating to any privatebody which can be accessed by a public authority under any other law for thetime being in force.

Request for Obtaining Information :


A person, who desires to obtain any information underthis act, shall make a request in writing or through electronic means inEnglish or Hindi or in the official language of the area in which the applicantis being made accompanying such fee as may be prescribed to the PublicInformation Officer specifying the particulars of the information sought by himor her. The information can be sought from Public Information Officer, Govt. College Balrampur (C.G.) on an application along with payment of Rs.10.
